Tonja loves being a
member of her local club and participating in local
service with her fellow members as well as serving in
various capacities at the district and state levels.
Her true passions in Lions will always remain with the
youth and promotion and growth of the Leo program and
with the Leader Dog program.
Tonja is starting her
20th year as a teacher and school counselor
at Hillsboro Middle School. She has a BA in History
from Fort Hays State University and a Master’s Degree in
School Counseling from Emporia State University.
David, Tonja’s
husband, is the current president of the Hillsboro
Evening Lions club and plays an active support role in
her Lion involvement. Her son Evan is a Leo and has
been actively involved in Lion and Leo events for as
long as he can remember. Several members of her
extended family are active Lions as well in their
respective communities.
