Mel Greene

Mel Greene is a native of Oklahoma where he earned a BA from The University of Tulsa.  Mel went to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1958 and for 25 years moved about Oklahoma.  He was first introduced to Lionism in Seminole, Oklahoma in 1962. He moved a lot for his job to places like Oklahoma City, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland and Kansas City.  Mel retired from Goodyear after 41 years in Kansas City and wanted to be more involved in service to his community and eventually moved to Columbus, Kansas in 2006 when he and his wife Lion Laura Lowry-Greene bought The Maple UnCommon Hotel. He joined the Columbus Lions Club. In 2008 Mel was President of the Columbus Lions Club and was the District 17-S Convention Chairman.  The Next year he was Zone Chairman and 2nd Vice District Governor. The year 2010 finds Mel as 1st Vice District Governor

William (Bill) Kincaid

Augusta Lions Club member Bill Kincaid was elected Second Vice District Governor of District 17-S for the 2010-2011 Lions year. Lion Bill has been a member of the Augusta Lions Club since mid-1972 with a few breaks for military assignments outside of Kansas.

VDG Bill has held all of the leadership offices in the Augusta Lions Club and has been Zone Chairman for Region 1, Zone 1, District 17-KW. Lion Bill has been President of the Augusta Lions four times and has been Secretary for the past five years.

Lion Bill is retired from the United States Air Force Reserve and is retired from The Boeing Company. Bill attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF and was a Procurement Officer with Boeing. Bill has a Masters Degree from the University of Southern California in Systems Management.

VDG Bill and wife Lion Sherry have two grown daughters and no grandchildren. Bill does volunteer work at McConnell AFB as a tax advisor.
